I'm originally from Trang, and I have a background in the food and beverage industry from a notable hotel in Bangkok. Seeking a closer connection to my roots, I moved back to Trang to embrace traditional Thai cooking and my passion for cooking and gardening. At my home, located in a in the forest just outside of town, I teach traditional Thai cooking classes, focusing on the use of local plants and ingredients from my garden. My goal is to share the authentic flavors of Southern Thailand and the joy of cooking with fresh, home-grown produce.

What was your inspiration to get into cooking, food and teaching how to cook?

I founded my cooking school in Trang to share the authentic flavors of Southern Thailand, utilizing fresh, local ingredients from my garden. My home-based school offers a unique culinary experience that connects participants with the rich culinary heritage of my hometown, blending hands-on cooking with the joys of garden-to-table cooking.

What excites you the most about your work?

My happiness from teaching comes from seeing the joy and interest in the people who choose to join me to discover the authentic flavors of Southern Thailand, using ingredients we've picked together from my garden. It's incredibly fulfilling to share my passion for traditional cuisine and gardening, creating a bond over shared meals and stories in the tranquil setting of my jungle home.

How do you select the menu for you classes?

When deciding on the menu for my cooking classes, I prioritize traditional Southern Thai recipes that can incorporate the fresh, local ingredients from my garden, ensuring an authentic garden-to-table experience. The seasonality and availability of these ingredients play a crucial role in shaping the menu, reflecting the true essence of Trang's culinary heritage.

What do you love the most about cooking?

What I enjoy most about cooking is sharing my deep-rooted passion for traditional Southern Thai cuisine, a love for cooking that has always been in my family, and imparting my knowledge to others who appreciate the art of authentic, home-grown flavors.
