I'm Sicilia, I live in Tuscany, Florence, since more than 17 years now with my husband and my daughters. Food has always been important in my life, my childhood is plenty of memories of Sunday lunches with parents and relatives, big bunches of "biscotti" baked during feasts and special occasions. When I was teen I started to cook my favourite meals ... and I never stopped!

What was your inspiration to get into cooking, food and teaching how to cook?

10 years ago I decided to turn my big passion into my career. I spent many hours cooking and studying and I still do it! I write my blog, I held cooking class in Florence and all over Tuscany and I work as private chef.

What excites you the most about your work?

Teaching for me means... meeting new people everyday coming from all over the world, sharing family recipes and stories.

How do you select the menu for you classes?

My food is a "marriage" between Tuscany and Sicily. Traditions it's important, but I strongly believe that tradition change, so the recipes are made to be shared and I'm always open to try "new" ingredients and techniques. I have just one rule: my ingredients are always local, seasonal and fresh!

What do you love the most about cooking?

Cooking for someone means to "nourish" him/her, and it's never just food.
