I am a passionate cook since I remember! my sweetest memories are in the Kitchen with my granny Meyita, cooking all kind of Mexican traditional food, listening to old radio songs and talking about life...

What was your inspiration to get into cooking, food and teaching how to cook?

I have been always in love with Mexican food and traditions, and I want to introduce and share the flavors of my country to the world, and show them how to prepare deliciouus mexican food at their own homes.

What excites you the most about your work?

Sharing with all Rivera Kitchen Tulum guests the authentic and most traditional mexican food, the food from small little villages, where food heritage is still the same as hundreds of years ago. I love Anthony Bourdain´s quote: “Do we really want to travel in hermetically sealed popemobiles through the rural provinces of France, Mexico and the Far East, eating only in Hard Rock Cafes and McDonalds? Or do we want to eat without fear, tearing into the local stew, the humble taqueria's mystery meat, the sincerely offered gift of a lightly grilled fish head? I know what I want. I want it all. I want to try everything once.”

How do you select the menu for you classes?

If we don´t have a particular request from a guest, we decide our menu every morning, and it will depend on the weather, the festivities and what inspires me once I get to the market.

What do you love the most about cooking?

Everything! I love planning the class for our guests, shopping at the market, the class with everybody chatting and laughing, sharing great moments , and enjoy at the end the fruit of our labor! Is like having a party everyday!
