Bio

My name is Embee, but you can call me Bee. I grew up on a small family rice farm in Thailand. Here I learned all about the different plants and their properties, so now I can pass that on to my customers. I have been a cooking instructor since I left university, where I studied English for 4 years.

What was your inspiration to get into cooking, food and teaching how to cook?

The two passions in my life are cooking Thai food and organic gardening. This coupled with my love for meeting new people, having fun and eating meant that I have always dreamed of opening a cooking school. So you could say I am now living in my dream!

What excites you the most about your work?

Happiness in teaching comes from the people who I teach. Whether those people are qualified chefs or absolute beginners, there is always something that I can help them with and something I can learn from them!

How do you select the menu for you classes?

Most of the dishes on our basic menu are well known Thai dishes that everyone will know, and that I really enjoy. There are however different ways of preparing these and the additions and tricks that I pass on to my guests mean that they will be the best you ever tasted!

What do you love the most about cooking?

I enjoy the creativity of cooking, experimenting with new ideas and ingredients to make something that is a piece of art that tastes great and can be shared with everyone!
