Having been featured in different media including the Bangkok Post, Bangkok 101, and the China Daily, Chef Purida has proven her skills by winning first place in television cooking show, Iron Chef Thailand, as well as appearing in Kitchen War Thailand that made her name widely know.

What was your inspiration to get into cooking, food and teaching how to cook?

With a passion for food and the thirst to constantly seek new challenges in life, Chef Purida thus decided to open Old Town Thai Cooking Studio - a place where she can share her knowledge and expertise in Thai food, as well as pass on the happiness to everyone who shares her passion.

What excites you the most about your work?

Chef Purida believes "the joy in cooking comes from sharing it with people you love". Chef Purida puts this philosophy into realization through her cooking school, Old Town Thai Cooking Studio.

How do you select the menu for you classes?

The class at Old Town Thai Cooking Studio comprise of 6 classes, each of which consist of 5 different menus that match the themes of each class. Old Town Thai - The menu is inspired by the urge to tell the stories of Charoen Krung area which is the location of the studio. Thai Street Food - The menu in this course are well-know, time-tested street food dishes. Thai Favorite - This course presents the different flavors of popular Thai signature dishes. Thai Delicacy - This set seeks to portray the local wisdom through Thai unique tastes. Thai Sam Rub - From sour to salty and sweet, Thai food tastes best when the flavors are balanced. This set encompassing a balance of different flavors within one meal. Grandma's Recipe - The menus in this class compiles childhood favorites that you can now cook for your family.
