My name’s Francesca, CEO, and founder of “The 12 Italy” project for saving local recipes through the time: mum, a passionate cook, and an authentic food lover. The cooking classes for my guests are not just a recipe to bring home: is anew the concept of getting-together explaining and experiencing the real Tuscan & Italian taste and flavors of the traditions. I was born and raised in the heart of Tuscany and I still live here in my family country​ home​ at the edge of Chianti with 2 sons, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. I spent my childhood around the fire helping cooking my grand helping my father in the family’s vegetable garden and growing up along with all of the flavors of all that is typically Tuscan My grandmothers taught me to cook genuinely, not to waste anything in the kitchen, respect the seasons and make dishes that delight the palate and refresh the spirit. The emotions that re-appears cooking, happily shared with my guests, give an unforgettable and lasting beautiful memory of Tuscany! My home in the past was a Farm shed for agricultural tools, part of it was used by my father to dry grapes for making Vinsanto and the actual kitchen was a shelter for the night for chickens and pigeons. During the renovation, I chose that part of the house to be used as a kitchen as I always felt there beautiful energy and extreme brightness. At that time, cooking classes were not in my mind, but I am extremely grateful for being able now to welcome my guests and make them feel at home even in a faraway country. What was your inspiration to get into cooking, food and teaching how to cook?

Last year I started the blog The12Italy, an exclusive project born from the desire to share the original Tuscan recipes handed down for generations by grand grand mother and preserve the traditions of my area in order to save them through the time, in a way they won't be lost in the future. Upon this I decide to start sharing everything welcoming people from around the world, through cooking classes.

How do you select the menu for you classes?

Menu follow the ingredients of the season to have the best in flavour and quality.

What do you love the most about cooking?

Sharing our different lifestyle, and chat like old friends

Available menu for vegetarians and vegans. Available cooking class for kids starting from 4 years old Small Children are welcomed, I provide games, books, high chair and play box for free
